Whats your favorite Martial Arts movies ?

The Raid
Fist of Legend (I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet)
Drunken Master 2
Last of the Mohicans
Seven Samurai

and a 6th would be Ong Bak.

A really good one if rare is "black belt"

For me:

1. Bloodsport (has to be as it is the movie that pushed me to take up kick boxing)
2. Perfect Weapon (Kenpo - me teachy - me likey)
3. Ong Bak
4. Best of the Best 1
5. Brotherhood of the Wolf

and many, many more :)

In no particular order:
Bloodsport
Best of the Best
The Karate Kid (the original...)
Kill Line (it's filmed in my area, and features my Master and our Kwanjangnim.)

Here are some...

All of Steven Segal's movies :)

Azumi

Dororo

Death Trance

Rurouni Kenshi

The Sorcerer and the White Snake

Bad Day at Black Rock

1955, Nominated for 3 Oscars

Spencer Tracy nominated for Best Actor, John Sturgis for Director, Millard Kaufman for Screenplay

Sturgis served with the US Army Signals Corps during World War II, but later transferred to the Air Force. Eventually edited/directed 37 training films and five documentaries. He served in Africa, Italy, Corsica and Britain.

Kaufman Enlisted in the US Marines at the outbreak of World War II, and participated in the Guadalcanal campaign and the landings at Guam and Okinawa. He was awarded a Bronze Star for bravery under fire.

MA (jujitsu) is part of an actual story, about veterans of WW2, racism, justice
and the american west. Tracy was never better. Scene with Ernest Borgnine in a bar
stands as the most effective ma use ever in a real setting. No hyped up special effects.

these are real men who have seen combat and war up close.
It shows.

Cinematography by William Mellor. Stunning.

Available on Netflix.
