What can you do with a punch?

Yeah you don't tug on superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old lone ranger
And you don't mess around with slim

Aw shucks, you can mess with me all you want, I won’t hurt you none.

Coincidently, they love that song out here. I have heard it on the radio every single day for two and a half years. Every day.

If you have an idea of how to respond to what they do, then you don't have to process it in real-time during the fight
I never know how I will respond to a punch. I see a punch then I move according to what looks like the best defense or counter at the time that I see the punch. I zero plan in terms of "If my opponent does this, then I do that."

The only plan that I really have is "Hit what's open, especially if my opponent doesn't know what's open."

I have heard it out this way more that I use to as well

Destroy the punch - such as putting your elbow where the punch will land

If this really worked, then you'd see it right now in MMA and Boxing where they're both multi billion dollar industries.

This rarely works unless you're fighting people who are really bad at fighting.
