Tyson vs Paul

We don't know that if the fight was fixed. Tyson wasn't there to KO Paul. He was there to get his $20 million. In the ring after the fight, Tyson was talking about a rematch or fighting Jake's brother Logan.
It was riiiggggggeeeedddd! Rigged, I tells you! 😂😂😂

That didn’t work for Tyson, the once greatest fighter in the world, so I stand by my conclusion!

Was referencing this.
The oriental martial arts are based upon a lie!
CMA, among other arts, are about the person's abilities and the art itself. Some arts favor strength, speed, and stamina, while others are based on different attributes.

Everyone gets old.

I like Tyson.
When asked about the fight, he said, 'I'm not here for anyone else, only me.'

He did seem a little stiff, and his knee was wrapped. It would be good to know why his knee was wrapped.

My conclusion is that a big, younger opponent will defeat an older, smaller person. The oriental martial arts are based upon a lie!
If anything, this supports that claim some make. The whole marketing strategy there is: boxing, muay thai, mma only work when you're young! If you want an art that will let you still kick butt when you're 80, you need (insert tma/cma here)!

They can look at this and say "see, even the best boxers lose their ability before they hit 60. But not us!"

The lie I was referencing was that good technique trumps size and strength.

I add the gem of ‘..use your opponent’s strength against him’ 🙄

Depends on level and skill set.
Mike looked like he wasn't moving to well..

The old guy here moves good,

Ernesto Bergamasco. He fought in the 1972 Olympics

That was a joke.
Mike says he doesn't think this is his last time fighting then calls out Logan. Then, Logan trash talks Mike, to hype the fight? Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather.

This fight doesn't prove who can beat who, age or martial arts. The question is how long is the public willing to pay for these types of fights (e.g., WWE)?

I worry Tyson is trying to recapture his glory days and give himself a sense of purpose, but age-related physical limits prevent that. That’s the problem with basing your feelings of self worth on anything physical. Boxers get old, slower and fatter. Football players become slower and fatter. Olympic rowers become weaker and fatter….

I have a feeling nobody will pay to see Tyson fight again. I certainly wouldn’t.

👍 agree

I think he has a gym or something helping at risk youth...
Feel he has a lot to offer, mentoring young troubled teens.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Power Up Fitness program is proudly sponsored by Mike Tyson Cares! The mission of Mike Tyson Cares is dedicated to offering individuals in lower-income communities a fighting chance at a better quality of life.

got to watch the fight live after the movie ended. Like most, I was a little disappointed but not really surprised.

That said, while Tyson did not look like an elite level boxer, he did look pretty great for a 58 year old dude. Good for him. And now he has $20 million to retire on.

Why do you feel this way.

I thought the fight was great. Tyson is still an amazing fighter at 58, Paul is a great boxer at 26.

I’ve seen too much boxing in my day.
I’d like to say I’ll never watch it again, but I’ll probably get sucked in again.
