Nope. I don't watch TV at all. But even when I did still watch TV, this kind of thing never interested me.Anyone else going to be watching this?
Everyone thinks it's going to be a one-sided fight in Tyson's favor. But I think everyone is saying that because they want Tyson to win. This fight will be interesting as it will go towards answering the question of whether age is a big factor in the martial arts. Admittedly Tyson was truly exceptional in his time and he probably still has those skills, but will it be enough to carry his body, incredible as it is despite being subjected to cannabis smoking, his 58 year old cerebral vessels, his age-diminished nervous system etc?
Should we go back to moustaches? I gotta pick my son up from school everyday. With the way moustaches look on me, I'd get jumped by the other dads.I’m rooting for Tyson, not least to wipe that smug look off Paul’s face and his stupid beard (I hate beards) but also to see Tyson’s incredible skills.
I don't have a philosophical reason for not watching TV. I just don't find it interesting. I am discovering through my VA therapy for PTSD that it might be part of my hypervigilance; one cannot be absorbed into TV and be aware of one's surroundings. But I'm not sure. I will say that my choice to stop watching TV seems to coincide with my other PTSD symptoms becoming a major part of my life, so eh.I’m always very suspicious of people who say they don’t watch TV. I have a couple of friends who claim no to watch TV, instead they do things like watch all that conspiracy stuff and have a very odd view of the world. I watch TV because it’s important to ‘know thy enemy’.
I know people care about those things, but I just don't. Too many other factors involved. "Any given Sunday" applies.
I like my beard. My wife doesn't like when I grow it long, and neither do I, but sometimes I do it to be antisocial. She also doesn't like me clean-shaven, and I agree with that as my face is stupid looking.I’m rooting for Tyson, not least to wipe that smug look off Paul’s face and his stupid beard (I hate beards) but also to see Tyson’s incredible skills.
There was another huge contest a bit like that with a similar ethos and that had an unexpected winEveryone thinks it's going to be a one-sided fight in Tyson's favor. But I think everyone is saying that because they want Tyson to win.
I don’t know why Tyson accepted this challenge, but he has and it’ll be interesting.Truthfully, Tyson should not have accepted this fight. Because if he loses after the way he's being hyped up by the public, that's gonna be serious blow to his legacy. And his legacy has already taken enough blows as it is (he should have retired after the last fight with Holyfield). Again, he should not be doing this.
No. All facial hair (especially ginger beards) are abhorrent and indicative of slovenliness and barbarity.Should we go back to moustaches? I gotta pick my son up from school everyday. With the way moustaches look on me, I'd get jumped by the other dads.
Then your looking at the wrong programmes. I’ve just watch a series about the solar system and despite me knowing everything, I was transfixed.I don't have a philosophical reason for not watching TV. I just don't find it interesting.
You can’t suspend disbelief? Me too, which is why I watch factual programmes and comedy panel shows.I am discovering through my VA therapy for PTSD that it might be part of my hypervigilance; one cannot be absorbed into TV and be aware of one's surroundings.
I think TV can ground you and seeing others having issues and problems put your own into perspective. But I'm not sure. I will say that my choice to stop watching TV seems to coincide with my other PTSD symptoms becoming a major part of my life, so eh.
‘Mostly’ suggests there are exceptions. As to enemies, as you know I consider humanity to be mostly made of morons
Themselves first which is why I have no real objections to them.who could not pour urine out of a boot with the instructions printed on the bottom, so they're less the 'enemy' than the usual crowd of people who will eventually kill us all through stupidity.
Absolutely! But they can’t see that.I don't get into conspiracy stuff. It requires people to keep secrets and people don't do that; then of course there is the question of how, if it's a secret conspiracy, do the tinfoil hat crowd know all about it?
No you don’tI like my beard.
You’re an awkward man!My wife doesn't like when I grow it long, and neither do I, but sometimes I do it to be antisocial.
Oh in that case I’d advice a big bushy beard and a hood. She also doesn't like me clean-shaven, and I agree with that as my face is stupid looking.
Indeed…I agree that Paul seems smug, but he seems to be able to back it up so far.
Neither does this forum, but you still post here like a spectre at the feast!Ultimately though, none of it will affect the arc of my life and so I do not care.
Yes. I really want Jake Paul to shut up, he's one of the most annoying men in the world.Anyone else going to be watching this?
Ha ha, luckily I’ve had little exposure to him to form an opinion, but he does have a ginger beard so nuff said.Yes. I really want Jake Paul to shut up, he's one of the most annoying men in the world.
Yes I saw that. Why did Tyson slap him?Tyson slapped Paul at their faceoff last night and Paul literally screamed "he must die!"
Is there any other sort?Social Prima donna.
Does he? I'm color blind.Ha ha, luckily I’ve had little exposure to him to form an opinion, but he does have a ginger beard so nuff said.
To increase viewership.Yes I saw that. Why did Tyson slap him?
No.Is there any other sort?
As I understand it they faced off a few times but during the final weigh in, Jake Paul actually bear crawls over to Tyson and popped up in his face. Which is probably not the smartest thing to do against a monster like Tyson. Like taunting a tiger. Why did Tyson slap him?
Never seen such hype. One gets 20 million the other 40. Just a showtime event. I might click it on YouTube afterwards.Anyone else going to be watching this?
Luckily I’ve missed it all, somehowNever seen such hype. One gets 20 million the other 40. Just a showtime event. I might click it on YouTube afterwards.
I’m getting up at 1am to see it!I'd watch it if I had netflix, put it on in the background and see what happens more out of curiosity than anything. I don't have netflix and this isn't worth spending money on so I won't be watching.
Yes.Anyone else going to be watching this?
Paul is the favorite at -205.Everyone thinks it's going to be a one-sided fight in Tyson's favor. But I think everyone is saying that because they want Tyson to win.
Tyson earned the right to fight eight 2 min rounds with 14 oz gloves for around $20 million. There's potential for a second fight It doesn't change his legacy since he's 58. Tyson doesn't look at his life as a legacy...Truthfully, Tyson should not have accepted this fight. Because if he loses after the way he's being hyped up by the public, that's gonna be serious blow to his legacy. And his legacy has already taken enough blows as it is (he should have retired after the last fight with Holyfield). Again, he should not be doing this.
Because, Paul stepped on his foot,Yes I saw that. Why did Tyson slap him?
Mike Tyson said:"I was in my socks and he had on shoes," Iron Mike said. "He stepped on my toe because he is a f--king a--hole. I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose. I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate."
