I cold never tell what was going on with the technique in the video because of the angle. The interesting thing is the timing of applying the technique. He did it when the guy put his hand back into his pocket.

It is hard to punch someone when your hands are inside a pocket.

- His left hand control his opponent's right wrist.
- His right hand cover on top of his opponent's right elbow joint (cover hand).
- He moves back his left leg, spin to his left, steps back, and take his opponent down.

IMO, it's more wrestling than Taiji.

Traditional Yang Taijiquan and Chen Taijiquan both have take downs as shown in the original video.

Now with that said, a lot of CMA styles have it as well so I have no idea if the OPs video is Taijiquan or now
