I'm waiting for the fireworks to stop, so my dog will be willing to be more than a foot away - he's fine as long as he's right near me, but it's a little hot, even at 10:15 pm, to have a dog cuddle up to me in bed; a local news station says it's still 82 degrees.

It's not just the displays; it's the idiots who were shooting off illegal fireworks in the park across the street - the displays are bigger, but farther away, so the idiots in the park are louder. There are still a few going off, but they seem to be farther away... soon, they'll be done - I hope!

Our dog has been having a hard night too!

My dog is okay as long as he doesn't see me get upset; right now he's a couple of feet away, as that gives him the best breeze from the ceiling fan (he's a smart dog that way) - but every time something goes off, he perks up and looks around. At least he doesn't bark in the house!

Here in CA, fireworks are just plain illegal other than the shows, so it doesn't happen too often anymore, or for too long when it does.

We had a great fourth with the whole day spent either boating, fishing at the beach or eating with my parents! Later that evening was the home fire works display. (of course all legal here) Today the neighboring town has a blues fest and fireworks so we are eating some more and then partying tonight!

I hope everyone else here gets some fun as well!

Good to hear you're having some fun and good food too! I have classes beginning shortly. I left it up to my students, if one wanted class, then I'd be here. Well a few did, so here I am. I'm expecting adult class to be rather small, but it sounded like kids class would be its normal size.

Cool, I taught private lessons this morning from 9 am to 11 am. Saturday morning private lessons are always a highlight of my week!
