What about?

Using differential equations to track the slow build-up and much slower release of lead in the bones from inhaled smog--based on 1970s L.A. data when things were much worse because that's the only data I have. If you lived in L.A. for 1 year back then you'd have put more lead in your bones than you could leach out in 100 years after leaving the area.
