I saw a Massachusetts State Trooper do that once on route 9 in Framingham... but he was only drinking a cup of coffee and reading what was likely the Boston Globe and not posting to a webpage... but that was Massachusetts not NYS so I m guessing that was ok

I follow all NYS traffic laws, and neither post, text nor talk on the phone while driving. 
Car's averaging about 50-51MPG so far. Still getting the hang of it though. Driving for optimum mileage is a bit tricky. Gotta read the road better to allow for longer coast times when going down hill, and a softer braking cycle to regen the main battery.
