Thanks Taijiquan people

I don't see any "sinking chest and expanding back" in his form.

Before entering the taiji world, I too never heard of this phrase among many others used or expressed.

Saying this as someone who's been there, now on the other side of the "there"
It is not so much of what one can see, rather what can one do with what is said to be done.

Something that CMA in general has been trying to prove for a long time in attempting to regain its historical status within the culture and place it originated from "China"

"Your" work and focus, among others part of the trend in addressing these issues. 👍

The focus on demonstrating the practical application of these arts, not just their theoretical or visual aspects.

含胸拔背 (Hán Xiōng Bá Bèi) a method to help with whole body integration. It might be said that when one's body is integrated, this method is already being used regardless if it's expressed as such or not..

All the people I work with, ethnic Chinese, some can not speak English living in the US
When working with them, addressing issues in their practice one might say you need to 含胸拔背
They know what this means..

For English speakers,,,one might ask them to not to extend their chest, and flatten their back...

What it does corrects the issues that it addresses,

In essence, it ensures that the body maintains proper alignment and structural integrity, facilitating better energy flow and movement efficiency. Correcting the chest and back alignment supports overall stability and power generation,

I see what you mean. It can be because their old age. Don't know which is chicken and which is egg.

Here is a Xing Yi video of old age. Some old people don't have that problem.
