tenden or muscle

In Chinese martial arts, there is a significant distinction between tendon strength (ē‹åŠ›, jÄ«nlƬ) and muscle strength (č‚ŒåŠ›, jÄ«lƬ).
This distinction plays a key role in traditional training methods, particularly in internal (內家, nĆØijiā) and external (外家, wĆ ijiā) martial arts.

Is Anatolyā€™s strength due to tendon strength, neuromuscular efficiency, or technique rather than muscle mass?

Weightlifting increases strength in muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones.

However powerlifting is not a very good example of demonstrating strength gained in martial arts, if any then the Olympic weightlifting categories ā€œsnatchā€ and ā€œclean and jerkā€ would be more in line with martial arts strength .

Know you cannot view the video...

His body is relatively small compared to the others in the gym. He pretends to be a cleaner, using a mop that weighs 36kg. The other powerlifters and bodybuilders are amazed at his strength. It's funny watching it. What I was looking for from those who can view the video is how they think he was able to lift the same weight....As the other weight lifters in the gym....

Historically, some did do a type of weight training.

Yes i watched the vid on the Chinese tube . I commented on the text mentioning ā€œpowerlifting ā€ in comparison to martial arts

I recall an article many years ago in a local Swedish paper, a farmer/landowner was to clean away stones and rocks infested on a big piece of his land, a local gym as some sort of advertisement gimmick came to help remove the big rocks, it turned out to be quite a challenge for the gym ppl while the older farmer tirelessly handled the stones with much more ease.

Yesterday, I single-handedly shifted about a ton of water sodden chipboard.I think my tanden [sic] was largely responsible and nothing to do with my regular, painful gym attendance šŸ˜

the vid in the OP a sort of prank, but think the real janitor at a weightlifting gym, all the weights and other heavy equipment thatā€™s got to be moved in order to get the place clean plus the buckets of water carried back and forth, wrenching the waters out of the mop and suchā€¦the janitor probably the strongest guy in the gym
