Heard this on the car radio today, had not heard it in years. I forgot all about it, heck I even forgot Peter Gabriel use to be the lead singer for Genesis. Glad I heard it today

Wow, what kind of radio station are you listening to?

Takes me back. I listened to a lot of Genesis in high school in the 1980s, particularly the older stuff with Peter Gabriel.

the Love me or Die by C.W. Stoneking

Funky, throwback song. Hard to believe it was released in 2008:

“Kenny G ain’t got no soul, John Coltrane is rock n roll. You may dig on The Rolling Stones, but they they never ever rock like Nina Simone”. . . Mos Def.

"How can we show, how to feel?
Situation ain't so real
Chopping wood won't stop the rage
We need targets on the war we wage"

Love Tom Waits. Dude can paint a picture...

Edna Million in a drop dead suit
Dutch Pink on a downtown train
Two dollar pistol but the gun won't shoot
I'm in the corner on the pouring rain
16 men on a deadman's chest
And I've been drinking from a broken cup
2 pairs of pants and a mohair vest
I'm full of bourbon, I can't stand up

This song was, I believe, my first exposure to Japanese, after Space Battleship Yamato.

"I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain I.B.M.

So if you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised
I'm just a man who needed someone, and somewhere to hide

To keep me alive, just keep me alive
Somewhere to hide to keep me alive

I'm not a robot without emotions, I'm not what you see
I've come to help you with your problems, so we can be free

I'm not a hero, I'm not a savior, forget what you know
I'm just a man whose circumstances went beyond his control

Beyond my control, we all need control
I need control, we all need control"

My trip to Colorado in Music

On the way to Colorado, on the plane, before landing in Denver. This song kept running through my head
