I always understood the chi of rice, was the water finding, and cell phone cleansing properties. The ox cart trail the same as king Solomon's temple. I think they are both lineages of masonry but don't quite know where the intercession happened between the ancient church. Chi is shown by a pot of boiling rice classically to westerners. Steaming rice makes pot lid vibrate. It was a analogy for internal strengh. The more I play with empty force the more since this makes. When you lead someone to emptyness you really don't even have to move just charge your chi in the position you are in when you make contact. I see this train of thought when I think chi it really can take all shapes of anything. The internal work or external work in martial arts is what we study that could be a coffee cup or a fist. It all has a sorce of chi and each is different. On the wholeistic side I don't know what others are thinking.
Indeed. (After translating.) It's enough to put you off your dim sum.I think this thread is full of a different type of Qi 屁话

Maybe you need a HUG from chi!Not everybody can feel Qi. Not everybody can see ghost.
One of my Taiji students when she practices Taiji, her soul can separate away from her body, float on top of her physical body, and look down on herself. I can't do that.
Another student of mine had only learned the first 8 moves of the Taiji forms. Today he is a famous Qi master and charges money for sending Qi into people's body. One day he touched my hand and told me that I had strong Qi. But I still feel nothing.
So what can I say?
Master Wang if you don't mind can you share basic martial arts general of practicing external qi, and how to form dantian. If you do, I will be in your debt forever. Not everybody can feel Qi. Not everybody can see ghost.

Some do say "more training"More training? More training.
I have a very basic foundational question: Is it, "using qi to do that" or is qi expressed as a result of doing "that?" In other words, is qi the cause or the effect of proper technique/breathing/attitude being in harmony?"I was using my qi to do that."
Going back to my analogy, I think the question is analogous to asking which physical direction we take to get to square one.I have a very basic foundational question: Is it, "using qi to do that" or is qi expressed as a result of doing "that?" Prenatal Qi, also known as congenital or original Qi, is the life force energy that is inherited from one's parents at the moment of conception. It's fixed can not be changed.
Postnatal Qi, also known as acquired Qi, is the energy that is acquired after birth through various means such as diet, breathing, and environmental influences. This form of Qi is considered renewable and can be continuously replenished.
Prenatal Qi serves as the foundation and supports the body's constitution.
Postnatal Qi nourishes and sustains the body, aiding in the replenishment of daily energy needs.
You can just do the Taiji ending over and over for "accumulate Qi".Master Wang if you don't mind can you share basic martial arts general of practicing external qi, and how to form dantian. If you do, I will be in your debt forever.
It’s funny how often when things like this journey to the west totally change.A buddy of mine (you've met him, Xue Sheng) and his colleagues practice Yiquan. They use "qi" in phrases, or idioms, as in "I was using my qi to do that."

I began studying Yiquan/taikiken in my native Europe and mention of Qi/Ji was not uncommon at all. When I moved to China(Beijing) and further studied Yiquan, I initially asked my teacher about Qi, and he got a little irritated and said I should not bother my mind about such, it Yi that’s important. Then at one point I asked about dantian and he got even more irritated and reminded me not to bother with such, if dantian the whole body’s a dantian.
What was it they had to use the word Qi to explain what they did ?
Yiquan has very clear training methods and explanations on how, what and why, speaking of qi in the modern world of Yiquan is not relevant for understanding and progressingNot every school uses the same ideas. To be quite honest, sometimes a breakaway student or one who did not get the proper transmission goes out on his own and figures out a great deal, and the definition and usage of words like "qi" become muddied. Others, for good reason, have decided not to talk about qi. Makes you think, maybe qi isn't as important as you think it might be -- for much longer than may appear to be reasonable.
If you want to know about qi, go to the people who have a very comprehensive and well-defined system for talking about such things. if you find a teacher that complains when you talk about qi or dantian, or has odd definitions, he can still be a very good teacher. But, it is about what you want to learn, in today's market-driven economy of choice...
Rule #1 when playing this game, if you stop making progress, find a new teacher.
