Was listening to Robert Norvin (sp) on an a.m. talk show thursday night and he was discussing the demise of the HST and that was one of the things that he brought up. Space.com and Enterprise Mission.com are a couple of pretty good web sites that have/had some info on things like that. The Enterprise Mission.com site is run by Richard C. Hoagland so a lot of what you see there will be contradictory to NASA reports. Lots of bad blood there between Hoagland and NASA but fun stuff to check out.
