Dear All,

I am vigorously searching for any available information related to a system of gung-fu my elder brother studied years ago. Unfortunately he is not capable of providing a source of reference...

To the best of my knowledge it is a Northern Sytem and is called Lung Chen or something along those lines!

Please help if you can

No reference at all?? Teacher name, location, description, etc... ??

Long is Mandarin for "Dragon". Lung is Cantonese for "Dragon".

Chen could be a bad interpretation of Quan for "Fist" in Mandarin.

If he's meaning Dragon Fist & it being Northern, references would be necessary. I've never been able to find a solid, traceable northern Dragon. Southern Dragon is easy & very close knit so it'd be simple to find out who's what & all like that.

The sifu was a lady named (spelled by pronunciation) Loni Luey...she was Taiwanese and instructed in Montgomery AL. Having looked at my previous post I would better spell the system as Lung Ken (like next of kin)

I apologize for having no more info...and i may have been a southern style!

clfsean seems to be on the right track. from what you mentioned the system could be a mispronunciation for northern dragon. the system i train in is referred to as lung shou pai, or long jop pai, and is northern dragon. though i have not heard the name loni luey, or of instucters in Al. i could be mistaken though, there are not many teachers of the sytem in north america, and she may be one not yet known openly. not sure if this helps, good luck in finding what youre looking for.

I am not so interested in learning of MRs. Loni Lui...she was in Alabama over a decade ago at which time she returned to Taiwan.


I am interested in the system itself...the closest I have found is Lung Kuen which I only see in reference to other systems...your continued help is greatly appreciated!

spookey, sorry for the confusion. like it has been stated before, the most i could get out of your question was that it was likely northern dragon. perhaps you could try looking it up and seeing what happens, though you may have already done so. sorry i could not have been a better help; but there is just too little info on what you are looking for. like a needle in a haystack. anyways, good luck to you, hopefully you find what it is you are looking for.
