I have decided to make a thread to SHOW the beauty of TKD, Ju jitsu, and other arts in action. There are alot of threads out there pitting one MA vs another, and alot of critisizing about certain arts. So I will start off with one of the most beautiful martial arts in the world IMO, TKD. Alot of people might have already seen this, but Im sure alot have not. So here it is, this is what you can do if you train hard at TKD!!

The link for the TKD stuff didn't work for me, I had to go to the homepage and find the link to the video, but its in there.

Neat stuff. Very flashy, much of it not practical, but, having said that, the combative kicking that those folks do would be phenomenal.

The Jujutsu stuff was awesome!

thanks DeLamar!

very VERY cool, i used to be prejudiced against TKD becuase of their lack of focus on punching and stances, but I really cannot deny how damn cool those kicks are!

Ok, here are some more vids to down load, they are from the other MA site I post at. These are real fighters in full contact matches, the techniques are very realistic, watch and learn. These are some of my most favorite fighters.

Scroll to the bottom and download the high quallity vid, it is very worth it if you like realistic stand up fighting. This is a must see for standup fighters!!

And here is the man who started the BJJ craze, he is great. Thank him for BJJ going mainstream.

And I belive this is his cousin, Rickson gracie. Said to be the best grappler in the world by many.

Remember, scroll to the bottom and get the high quallity, and save it to dvd or something and put it in your files, these guys are real no bullcrap fighters!

Notice in the ernesto hoost vid he uses high kicks very effectively, because he knows how to apply them properly. His timing and distance are perfect. He has probly done some TKD in his day to refine his kicking abillity wouldnt you say?

i thought the tkd and the capoeria demos were out of this world. blew my mind to see those arts in their full glory. mine will only help me save my life... that sucks!;) hee hee! but really. that was great!

I like the Kenpo vids. Very cool stuff. Just a quick question though, how do you think Kenpo and Wing Chun would mix together. They remind me of each other a little.

Here is a clip of a guy who is very good at point fighting, his compitition sucks horribly, but he manages to land some cool kicks because of it.
http://www.multilevelmoves.com/MLMv7/html/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=93

Just remember that this guy would get creamed in a real fight against a good opponent, there is a difference between point fighting and real fighting. One low roundhouse would throw off his entire game, and he cant punch for crap, but still fun to watch.

Looks like he might have been a gymnist!!!!!! Quite pretty to watch, wicked flexibility!

Wing Chun is good but it concentrates too much on hands I think. It depends what you mean by 'mix together'. If you mean would a Wing Chun guy benefit from Kenpo training or vice versa then definitely. The Kenpo guy would learn to extend his trapping abilities amongst other things, and the Wing Chun guy would learn better stances (the classic Wing Chun pose is a little too front on to my eyes...) and to use his legs more in conjunction with the hands.

If you mean what would happen if they fought, the same points apply as has cropped up in the other threads - who knows? My guess would be the Wing Chun guy would take a snap kick to the groin before too long...

Interesting. I Am interested in both styles. Never formally trained in either but would love to. I have sparred with both Wing Chun and Kenpo fighters and the Kenpo fighters were way tougher, but I know that varies from school to school. Plus, my martial arts training has never left ohio.

As soon as I get a new camcorder with a usb Im going to put some vids up of me and my buddies training. That will be fun to get everyones opinion.
