I know about the amount of anesthesia for gingers and we tend to think they bleed more. That is a common belief amongst surgeons. In veterinary medicine it’s orange cats and calicos, the redheads of the cat world. Completely orange cats are nearly always male, calicos(tri color) are always female. It is common amongst veterinary staff to believe they bleed more. I know there have been studies that show gingers perceive pain differently, and that they tend toward higher pain tolerance.This reminds me, I heard gingers have to get more anesthesia than others normally get. Could be a myth but I heard they require higher doses. Idk why.
