So we have flood cameras that you can check to see if the road is closed before you risk loosing your car trying to cross.

But since covid. We have had a big influx of people from much more urban areas.

Here are some that didn't make it.

It was 64F yesterday.

single digits here tomorrow, yesterday it was in the high 30s

Going to be 50's and low-60's through Christmas.

I'm expecting a white Christmas. But I'm not 100% sure. We are getting snow but it might just be some light powder type snow. Either way is fine to me. Looking forward to spending it with my family and relaxing. Hope you all have a great holiday.

Yeah. In that case they are pretty good. They just have to wade back. The water is very still just super icky. And probably full of snakes.

If it was near a river they would be in trouble.

The flooding is normal. Those cameras are set up specifically so you can check.

Are the snakes aggressive? In Louisiana, we swam in a lake with snakes and snapping turtles all the time and they’d leave us alone. We were so loud, they didn’t want anything to do with us. Now if you surprised them outside the water, it was bad news.

I wanna say like once a year or so this happens. One of us is normally on to clean it up every half hour or so, night-time notwithstanding

Are the snakes aggressive? In Louisiana, we swam in a lake with snakes and snapping turtles all the time and they’d leave us alone. We were so loud, they didn’t want anything to do with us. Now if you surprised them outside the water, it was bad news.

Apparently they have better things to do than bite you when they are swimming.

But I wouldn't test it.
