What the hell is wrong with this country?? I just can’t take it. We have lost our way. I’m hearing 14 children shot in their classroom along with the teacher in Texas.
Let me guess, by a disaffected young white male? Where does this stuff come from? I can’t understand what makes people do this.

This, is a version of an Ogden Nash bit. The original goes like this: “The one L lama is a priest, the two L llama is a beast, but, I would bet a silk pajama that there isn’t any three L lama.”
We discussed this recently. A three L Lama is a big fire in Boston.

I had to look into this. Not only shot, they were apparently all killed. He also killed his grandmother before going to the school. And per one article, this is the 61st active shooter event this year, highest on record.

Close. 18 year old male, but I'm guessing by his name (Salvador Ramos) that he is hispanic. He's now dead as well.

Hate. It's Sandy Hook on repeat.

I’m curious if you and I agree what issues are at play. But its a conversation best had elsewhere. The hopelessness of this is very disheartening.
Feel free to send me a private message abd I'll share my full thoughts. Doing so here would be breaking rules.

Somehow I crushed a (previously broken, replaced, and now rebroken) molar crown. Probably with a cough drop...hard candy.

I don't have a fever, but now I need a dentist.

It's a morning, for sure. Made sure I told my 13 year old that I love her before she walked to school because in America, there is no guarantee she will survive the day.

Last night, my daughter said something like, 'Dad, I know it's hard, but don't worry. I am on it. We know what to do, if anyone tries anything."

And that makes me even sadder.
