If you post pictures here, a bunch of us would probably be willing to buy some from you. Especially if they're just going to end up in the garbage anyway..

Sell them, I'm contacting a few MAist I know to see if they want them. I'm giving them away

But thanks, I may post some books or DVD/VCD when I get to the other book cases. But I would not be selling them, just give me an address I'd send them, as long as shipping was not to expensive.

When we last moved, I decided to get rid of all the DVD's we'd collected. Something like 2000 DVD's. I picked up a 4TB drive, ripped all the disks, and then put them in the locker room at work for people to take home. Good choice.

Some of these are things I never did that family in China sent me. Others are things I'll never do again. But I'm not getting rid of anything Xingyiquan

she decided you have to downsize.....
Married life for ya

We had a conversation that went like this....
Mrs Xue: We are going to have to think about downsizing, we don't need such a big house to take care of as we get older
Me: Yup, we probably will
Mrs Xue: We have a lot of cleaning to do before that happens
Me: what do you mean we.....
Mrs Xue: We need to clean up
Me: You and I both know, when you say we...you mean me....

Yet another thread, by the same poster that makes me want to do this

And I'm beginning to think the poster is a highschool kid

You know, going through the bookshelf of martial arts DVD/VCD and books has me thinking Xingyiquan again.....and I can't get past the first few postures of Yang Taijiquan at the moment..... Had. friend of mine contact me about "EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT" coming to his school soon...... got me thinking XIngyiquan?... (although I doubt it)...looked at an old Shifu's school page....he is looking for people to sign up for Xingyi, if he can get enough students....... I'm telling you...folks just have no sympathy at all for a recovering Xingyiquan addict in rehab......

Maybe I should try Santi Shi this evening......... oh..this is bad.....

yes! That’s it. What are some others? I’m intrigued. I don’t know much about it.
I'll try to find time to make a thread on it. There are 12, and those 12 sounds are tied to everything from old folk medicine to strangling people. It's a very deep subject but probably great for discussion.

At the moment I am deep in thought about things like is it possible to actually make an omelette without breaking an egg.

A dear friend of mine is leaving Maui after 42 years here. Bought a house in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He has a big family there.

He's a bigger movie freak than I am, and I'm a serious movie guy. He gave me all his DVDs over the last week. I can't even count them all, like ten shopping bags full, six boxes as well. Everything from Gone With the Wind to Zombie Strippers, from The Godfather to Smoking' Aces 2, from Old Yeller to A Boy and his Dog.

There's no way I'll have time to watch them all, but I'll give it my best shot. :)

A Boy and His Dog is a classic.

In my yesterday's 6 miles walking, I did

- foot sweep, hook, back fist, overhand,
- front kick, jab, hook, uppercut,
- ...

over and over.

I try to use walking to replace my running (try to protect my knees). I like to combine punch/kick with my walking.

I have many hobbies besides MA. But when I do those hobby, I always feel guilty. My mind tells me that I should use those time to train MA instead. When I do kick/punch with walking, I don't feel guilty at all.

BOOKS

I have 2 I'm getting rid of, if anyone is interested. The rest of the books I'm taking to some CMA friends I have, these are both TKD, both free. Just as long as the shipping is not to expensive
