Just found out my 95 year old uncle has tested positive for Covid. So far he is doing ok.

So much hoping he has a mild case.

Well, my uncle is not in the hospital, has a fever, is breathing ok on his own, but gets short of breath quickly when talking. So far it seems to be going as well as it can be expected.for his age.

All! I know it's been a minute... I am still alive although tremendously overworked due to the post-Thanksgiving COVID fallout (much like all med and non-med personnel in the country). I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I miss everyone very much. I am still active on FB, Instagram, and TikTok if anyone would like to come visit. In case I get busier, I wish you all a safe and pleasant holiday season and a (hopefully) saner, happier New Year.

Made beef wellington for dinner last night. My first try at it. Turned out pretty good and while it was a pain in the *** to make (took two days), I think it's worth it.

I need to work on pretty plating.

I figured I'd see the regular doc, just to have my sinuses checked....
Advertised outside they do testing for 'that virus'
and yet, not a single staff member inside was wearing a mask!
I looked at the sign-in sheet, the person before me (with mask) was there to get tested....I looked at the receptionists, on the little pad, and then I walked out.
I had been getting good service there for years, but that is just incredibly stupid and recless.
Might need to go to Hubby's doc. They have been taking this serious all along.

Ironically my wife changed dentist for the very opposite reason. Everyone in the office, the receptionist, hygienists and dentist were all in full PPE

Going to where the virus is the most prevalent is a genuine catch 22 that people need to consider.

As long as he doesn't talk, he is breathing fine

He caught Covid in the hospital because he was not feeling well. They ran tests and found he has cancer

I am doing what I can. Working A LOT. Because of the rise in COVID cases and a team member taking a new job a couple of months ago, my workload had quadrupled. When I am not working my cases, I am figuring out ways to work them faster.
