Ran away because of a spat with stepmother. I am sure it was rough, but bad things happen to stupid little girls!
I hope Facebook can be used for good once, and it turns her up.

Kids don't run away after just one spat with their mother in law. I hope she's okay, and that whatever conflict is going on in that house gets resolved.

LOL, step mom....
No matter, there are other options. It's just not helping matters.

Tonight is the band's christmas concert. She will be missed. I hope she is safe.

Me too. Best wishes to that family that she is found safe and sound, and that whatever drove her to run away gets addressed, as well.

Must have been one bad spat. Though in my opinion it seems like kids these days seem more emotional these days. (I know my younger sister gets hurt[emotionally] real easily). Regardless of whatever reason, hopefully she safely makes it back home
Best of luck

And Im not happy about needing to turn the AC on in the car in Dec. AND nobody is allowed to bring this post up next week when Im crying about the cold ok

Sitting around in my PJs with bronchitis. Damned patients. Why can't they keep their bugs to themselves???

Kids are resilient and every parent screws their kids up in some way or another. In other words, parenting is a pass/fail exercise and there is no such thing as a perfect parent who does everything "right." We all mess up, say or do things we shouldn't and will regret from time to time.

But, there are some households that are too broken and need some help righting the ship. If your son or daughter is running away, that should be a wake up call that whatever dysfunction exists in the household has grown beyond your ability to manage it, and you need to reach out for help. What the dysfunction is will vary. It can be mental illness. It can be addiction. It can be just profoundly incompetent parenting skills. Death of a parent. Divorce. Most households overcome these things. Some parents just don't have the tools in their toolbox to do so.

Our kids are what we've made them. If they're more emotional these days, it's because we've taught them to be that way.

I've heard that the best place to get sick is at the hospital. :)

Which is why hospitals have inservices about Nosocomial infections.... and then rarely follow what they teach

Nosocomial infections are infections are acquired in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. To be classified as a nosocomial infection, the patient must have been admitted for reasons other than the infection. He or she must also have shown no signs of active or incubating infection

It's my Sunday, sort of.
