A team to me is a bunch of people playing a game.. But I do not have a problem with 'crew' which to me is a group of people working together and I would rather be the captain of a crew than a team... at least then maybe I could keelhaul someone every now and then.

So far 20 officers hurt none seriously few broken bones, bumps and bruises. Over 150 cars burned, several buildings, few hundred arrests. Officers from all over the Mid-Atlantic on the way and about 2000 national guard troops in the city.

What I fail to understand is how anyone thinks that these riots are going to help anything. Of course I heard in the news this morning that 2 gangs might be using this as a smoke screen to go after police

It's helping them destroy things that other people value, such as their businesses, and to steal things they want for themselves.

I think during the daylight hours everything will be fine. Now Friday is the day they want to stay away. Friday is when the PD is going to release its findings on the Freddy Gray investigation. I have a feeling no matter what the investigation shows people wont be happy

Well that just isn't true... I like the word team and teams are ok....I just don't like "Team meetings" and "Team" in reference to people working in an office... in the office it REALLY ticks me off... "Lets have a meeting team".....TEAM MEETING!!!! Slowly I turned...step by step...inch by inch..

I don't get the issue with the word "team."

A group of people with different skills and different tasks, who work together on a common project, service, or goal, with a meshing of functions and mutual support.

Seems like that would apply as well at work as anywhere else. But, hey, I fully understand that pet peeves are sometimes irrational. I have an irrational dislike for "double cupping" and really, really don't like it when some stores check my receipt at the door.
