Finished math homework, went to main campus area, a bunch of booths set, there giving all students either free sunglasses, hats or glowy ring (or all three) I just took the sunglasses :) and there also playing live music too!

Yup, I think I have had enough of MT for a while.....I don't really need lectures from people half my age on proper PC posting etiquette..... might need to go walkabout..... it ain't worth the additional annoyance.... and none of this is directed at anyone in the LPTv4 thread..... I shall ponder this for a bit

Did you bless their hearts?

But then again...I got caught up in a bickering match with a troll, and found myself semi banned.
(Kind of like being kicked out of the basement though :D wasn't a bad deal)

Nope, I told them I didn't need lectures from people half my age..... and I asked to be kicked out of the basement, and the study... oh...and I am currently having some Jasmine Green Tea by the way

Is this a good thing?
Yeah more opportunity to do other things. Going from city PD of about 125 officers to a county PD of 800 and over half million people. I just can't belive I'm starting over again lol. I'm never going to retire at this rate......oh well I think I got another 20 years in me. I can't wait to have some 26 year old kid with 4 years on training me

Then Congratulations my friend.... as for the 26 year old..... go easy on him :D

"Well, Bless your (little) heart)" sounds better coming from a sweet little old lady anyhow.

So, wait. You're trading the blue uniform in for the brown one? Does it go better with your eyes? :) Seriously, I have a few buddies who are county deputies and seem to like it a lot. The County Sheriff is an elected position, rather than a comissioner appointed by the city council, which can be a problem sometimes, but overall, they seem to like working in more rural areas.

No still blue uniforms just a different shade and now that I think about it yes it's much better looking with my eyes.
We have a county sheriff also but I'm going to the County Police so the chief is appointed by the council. Sheriff in the county is basically tasked with civil process (evictions, protective orders) and court house security. The PD is the primary law enforcement for the county. With assistance from State police. I want to be a full time Homicide Detective and we don't have then where I work now detectives handle all crimes. County has more crimes si they have specialized detective units.

that's interesting. Around here, police work only in incorporated townships or larger. Any unincorporated county areas, as well as some smaller townships, rely on the county sheriff. Now, don't hold me to this. I'm not an expert. But that's my understanding. I've never heard of a county police.

Yeah its about 50/50 here. In the county I live in we have no county police we only have a county sherff who is the main law enforcement for the county. The bigger counties have County PDs I suspect County Commissioners got tired of having no control over elected Sheriffs so they started Police Departments. We still have a Sheriff Dept in all counties because its written in the state constitution. But since the county controls the budgets the County PD Im going to has 800 officers the sheriff has about 40 deputies and most are court security. Its all politics really. Anytime a Sheriff pisses of the county council here they talk about starting a PD

Here
Environmental Police
State Police
State College Campus Police
County Sheriff's Dept
Local PD (City, Town, Village)
And in some cases Local Security Officer, which in my state means full police authority in that specific jurisdiction only
