It's not even that things break. It's that people lose their ever-loving minds when it happens. We are working in health industry, people! For crying out loud - stuff breaks ALL THE TIME. As long as whatever it is that broke is not attached to or inserted into a patient, we are ok. Everything else we can fix or work around.

Favorite one was when folks decided to purchase MacBooks while I was out on extended medical leave... all I can say is they were dang lucky I checked my e-mail form home that day...had to explain that a Mac was not a PC and there were many other things to consider before you just went out and bought the "Cheapest one" which is what they were trying to do......not to mention looking for 3 quotes...... and they could have gotten 3 quotes...it is just that all those quotes would have been from Mac

Note to self: never take a sick day or vacation EVER. They broke EVERYTHING while I wasn't looking. Patient records got dropped on wrong accounts. A set of fields disappeared from the coding application. The billing system crashed. I can't even...
Yep, that's just about the whole story....

You are the grey rider. You would not make peace with the Bluecoats. You may go in peace.

Wales - "I came here to die with you. Or live with you. Dying ain't hard for men like you and me. It's living that's hard when all you've ever cared about has been butchered or raped."

Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean.

I am not sure why Clint Eastwood movies (beyond Dirty Harry) are not my favorite for quotes. Just... aren't. Young Frankenstein on the other hand...

Were
Going to Washington tomorrow for Kung Fu seminar... Hopefully I won't forget to take pictures this time and last minute take landscape photos. They turned out great but the seminar would have been an ideal picture time.
where
in Washington?

I discovered a marvelous way to keep up my step count on days when I don't train. Housework. A few loads of laundry (up and down basement steps), a few blankets that need to be dried outside (up and down the deck ramps), some ironing, some sweeping... Voila!

Next: @Xue Sheng 's lecture on being allergic to housework.
