i officially hate super glue... i was visiting my parents and my mother was fixing some birdhouse. a piece fell off and she asked me to put the super glue away. there was some glue on the container and gosh darn! before i could get to the sink the glue dried. trying to get that off was tricky!

Today's study question: how many times can a person on MT quote your threads and get no reply from you before they realize you blocked them?

Yeah I will still quote them. So in my case an infinite amount of times.

Saw Citizen Kane once, many years ago. Awful, boring. I believe it's notoriety comes from Movie Critics - many of whom will pontificate how wonderful a film is - because they believe they are SUPPOSED to.

Didn't see easy Rider until ten years ago. It did not age well, not at all. Haven't seen The Shining or Blade Runner, if you can imagine that. And I've watched more movies than anyone I know.
Blade Runner aged well, if you like that kind of movie (and I do). The Shining (Nicholson version) held up well, too, though it's not as true to the novel as a later (and to me, scarier) version.

I agree about Citizen Kane. It was as exciting as My Dinner with Andre, which is precisely as exciting as the title implies.

Nail polish remover works really well to get that stuff off.

Ah, My Dinner with Andre. I'll admit a morbid fascination with that film. As in "why the F did you make this movie?"

I first saw it years ago. I was so stunned I actually sat through it all, not believing what I was seeing. Since then, I've watched it twice, years in-between. I tried watching it as a writer would, then as someone who loved the movie might, trying to pick up on the more interesting pieces of conversation and how they changed both the pace of the dialogue and your understanding of the characters relationship.
Although I got more out of it - it still sucked.

To me, it's the one perfect example of what a movie critic is. And how they'll like something because they think they are supposed to, because they want to be looked upon favorably by their peers.

To me there's only two types of folks in the world. People who think My Dinner with Andre sucked, and people who've never seen it.

There are people who seem to actually enjoy those things, though. My dad (who introduced me to that film) seems to find something in them I do not. He also really liked the story "The Orchard", which I found both depressing and boring - he found it life-affirming.

Okay. I've never stayed in a resort as nice as the cabin here at copper Creek cabins in Disney world. This is amazing.

Not to knock your vacation choices or anything...after all I don't know what I might be missing, but I am happy that I will probably die without having been to D-world....the Missus always wanted to take the kids there, I balked at the money and now the kids don't care anything about Disney anymore.......Sadly though I was not able to dodge that bullet regarding Las Vegas...had to go there once for a conference....hope to never have to go back

(Apologies to any members who might live there but it's just not my kind of place)

I will see if I can find an old clip for wobbies world. Which was our super dodgy version.

We like Disney and money is just money. I'm not a huge fan of Vegas either. But I can enjoy a vacation anywhere.

I'm with you on the Vegas thing. On the other hand, I've been to Disneyland (other side of the country) as an adult, and my wife (who has never been) and I are planning a trip there. I found it a lot of fun.

I like disney parks, but really, I like cool resorts. The things I remember about vacations are the food and the resort. And this is by far the coolest resort I've stayed in. A 2 bedroom cabin on bay lake, with a private hot tub on the private, screened patio. It's really something else.

I don't care for Vegas much, either. Just not my scene.
