KEYSER PATROLMEN SAVE FAMILY FROM FULLY ENGULFED HOUSE FIRE: Keyser PD Patrolmen Donald Saville and Scott Brantner arrived on scene of 'a house on fire' call and found the entire front and all entry to the home on fire. They went around to the back of the house, knowing time was not on their side, and found a way into the home where four residents, including a 6 year old, were sleeping. With no breathing equipment or protective clothing, these Heroes called out through the smoke and heat and were able to rouse everyone. The duo followed the voices and were able to grab everyone and lead/carry them out. Not a moment later, the windows blew out and flames began to engulf the entire interior of the home with flames shooting from everywhere.

Within five minutes of the call and just as the Patrolmen moved to a safe place on the property, Keyser Fired Department Chief Chris Paitsel arrived. As soon as he saw the condition of the home, he knew these Officers, his Brothers, saved this family's life. And so did homeowner Linda Pezzanite who was so grateful to the Officers for getting her, her adult grandson Joseph, Joseph's girlfriend and her 6 year old daughter for risking their own lives for her family.

Another reminder of how far and how much a Police Officer will go and do to Save, Serve and Protect the People with no hesitation nor reservation. Job Well Done Patrolman Donald Saville and Patrolman Scott Brantner . YOUS GUYS ROCKED!!!

Keyser firefighters were on the scene in seven minutes, followed by firefighters from McCoole, Burlington, New Creek, Fountain and Piedmont, as well as Keyser EMS. The residence was severely damaged and left uninhabitable. An investigation into the fire, which appeared "suspicious in nature", is being investigated. Thank you also to our Brothers in Red and in White as well.
