Last week, one of my dogs got sick. My wife cried. I told her, "We have 5 dogs. If you cry when one of our dogs is sick or die. You will cry twice for each dog. That will be 10 cries for 5 dogs. Are you ready to do that?"

I don't know any spiritual solution for this.

Sure, keep crying.

Tears cost nothing, and it's good for the spirit. Scientifically proven.

Dogs will eat dead bodies, no doubt, my buddies saw it in Afghanistan several times. I think that might be part of it.

Human cannibalism can be found in every culture. This is a common theme in a lot do human survival stories, functional and non. Everything from Lord of the Flies to "Alive" to The Grey.

If I had to eat you, I'd apologize to your body first. That would be a spiritual act, because you are about to become part of me.

If you really think about it, doesn't matter if it's a plant, dog, human. You are giving thanks for tomorrow to something that didn't live past today.

Even the religious people believe that their spiritual acts today will resonated in an afterlife. Whether or not that's true (and nobody really knows), it feels good.

I would eat anything in a pinch. I have. I haven’t had to eat long pork, but I wouldn’t wait if it was an emergent situation. Meat is meat when it’s life or death.
