What’s a good teacher to student ratio in your martial arts class? I feel like 15 is a lot, but I’ve seen videos with a hundred + students. How many on average are in your class on a weeknight?

It depends so much on what the learning intention of the class is, as well as the MA for obvious reasons. We can't compare a popular school wrestling in central Russia to a weapon based Eastern MA for example.

Pedagogy - accounting for explicit instruction along with the planned lesson - research seems to appreciate between 15 - 25 (but 25 is really stretching it, and this also depends on the art). But this research is limited to contemporary classroom contexts.

1:3 instructor to student ratio is the Goldilocks zone, but Goldilocks is a fairy tale.

6-12 on average nights. As low as 2 or as high as 17 at most.
