Hegazy Sayed, 45, was found dead at about 10 p.m. Sunday at Planet Petroleum by a customer who found him behind the counter.Steven Foster, 37, was charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of a stolen firearm and witness intimidation, police said.Foster allegedly entered the gas station and attempted to rob Sayed, police said. At some point during the robbery, police said Foster shot Sayed."My husband has a black belt in karate, and he didn't have a chance," the victim's wife, Christine Sayed, said.She said her husband was a peaceful man. The two met after Sept. 11, 2001, when she began outreach to several Muslims.
