Well, who can blame you...she has nice.......hands. ;)

Gentlebeings, lets stick to the topic, and drop the potshots please?

Lets return to the 3 questions asked.

"if hatsumi has not fighting/combat experience... "
There is a difference between fighting and combat experience. A fight may not be life/death, combat usually is.

"and he is only passing on a "battle tested art" from hundreds of years ago... "
Is he only passing on technique as it was in the past, or is the principles taught so as to be timeless?

"how effective is budo taijutsu in the modern world?"
Hundreds of students of Dr. Hatsumi use their skills daily in protective situations. Their success would indicate that the skills are indeed effective, and that the means of training successfully transfers the knowledge into the student.

Hey, anyone else notice this thread is pretty much identical to the one closed a few days ago??

Gee. Surprise, surprise.

like i said before... sparring in judo doesn't count. you might want to go post that in the judo section. sounds interesting.:asian:

Did I say they were doing Judo randori? I don't think so. I said that he was challenged and fought two Judo practioners, who after became Hatsumi sensei's students.

No, because I refuse to battle unarmed combatants.

Well in a way you are…….that is if you think having only half a brain is “unarmed”
