Since the thread has shifted in this direction, let me just throw in my take on the matter. My little girl is just about KatGurl's age, and let me tell ya, I'm not looking forward to the point when she starts liking boys. Boys have one track minds, I know I was one back in the 70s. But when it's my little girl who's the object of the little punks' admiration, well then, ummm... :armed:
I told my daughter that she wasn't going to be allowed to date until after she was in her 20s and had finished college.

However, should it occur that my kid does date before then, well then I'll just have to sit the boy type friend down and as I clean my guns I'll lay down the 10 rules for dating my daughter. Here they are, check out this link...

I'm with you brother.:asian: I already have boys calling for my girl and girls calling for my boy. He's 10 and she'll be 8 in a few. Very scary. However I won't let some snot little punk kid mess with her. I had an incident with my younger sister only once. She was over here and her boyfriend was down the road and walking towards the house. When I got to the steps he was like right behind me. I kept walking in looking behind me and he decided to keep on strolling also. (bad idea 'cause I just came home from a 3 hr. class) When I started to shut the door behind me he was inside. Unfortunately for him I've never seen him a day before in my life so after dropping my duffle bag I hip tossed him then went directly into the shoulder mount and grabbed his right arm. Well he didn't know what happened and was pleading for me not to beat him up.:shrug:
