I agree with most of this except the diagram with a rounded back.

Not a matter of agreeing or. not...If one follows the method they will arrive at an understanding.
for those who do not, they will not...

However very few people know that during the transmission of Yang style Taijiquan, its true essence has almost been lost and forgotten because old masters kept it secret.

Not sure what’s funny.

Yes and yes and yes, I agree. This is a good description. I don’t know Sanchin, but Iron Wire ( Tid Sin Kuen ) is similar in functionality for training purposes. My one question is about “locked” hips. Could you elaborate on this point? I don’t want to hang up on chosen adjectives because I think we are talking about similar if not exactly the same thing using different descriptions.

Yes 👍

Was thinking the same..Had a friend who practiced "iron Wire"
in some aspects similar to Shanchin, in. others not.

Your appeal to authority is merely a “secret” biographical account of a dead guy by a person who never met him. The proof is in the experience. A book will only get you so far. What one can physically accomplish trumps what one might be able to articulate with words. “Look I have a book with a diagram written by a Chinese guy” is pretty flimsy evidence of your personal ability or actual knowledge. The real “secret” is hard work and repetitive consistency in training that provide measurable results.
.

In jest or reality ?

could you clarify

I believe the diagrams show an exaggerated posture in order to describe the feeling of internal torques, not to be taken out of context.

It’s not about torque’s .
Nor feelings.

Part of this post was an attempt to show what might be some of the logic that is shown in certain demonstrations that are frequently question .

“Part “

other’s was to show how the same movement posture can be explained in different ways according to the method used what’s being developed .

Both ways can be correct for their respective development paths.

Very correct one should speak from either ability or experience .

I don’t mind to discuss.

IME some of description similar to those used by others on other sites mocking what is either shown or suggested..
Some of the same words used "lifting of toes" ect

On the net, not always clear of ones intent.....in "jest or reality".

Your outlined quite detailed....more so then in my own experience with other teachers,
I've met their teaching style maybe different.

Not at all...The book is quite detailed in its presentation. Outlining many of the practices we use, explaining what is thought to be happening and why within the theory it's based on..

In China, most was not explained..but experienced through feeling it applied as the explanation .
It's how we learned.

The "practice" was to work it out....understanding reached through demonstrated ability

For clarity:

Waijia (外家) is terminology that some might interpret as suggesting one practice is superior to another, rather than simply different. It is used to denote a focus of practice with specific expected outcomes from the practice.

Waijia (外家) outer practice
Neijia (内家) inner practice

The postings reflect the lens through which one looks, based on "their" practice and experience.

While most can share experiences gained through outer practices, it becomes a little harder to do so with inner practices.
One of the reasons, that demos are often questioned by those who have not had the same experiences.

Those who have had these experiences, often reluctant to post clips.

I say start to lift but don’t actually lift. This is activate the anterior ankle without locking it.

My teachers were often reticent to explain in detail. Most often they will say “ do it again “. The explanations should be review for those that have experienced. The Classics are review. The “mumbo jumbo” is real but not without the physical reality created by consistent training over time. Thus, most often I will inadequately describe these experiences and the ways that they may be found. Little by little I’m learning how to carry more water in my basket.

Do you really want to develop a body shape like this?

When I had my 4 miles walking/training, I saw too many people have hunchback. I just don't want to be one of them. I wear a posture corrector during my 4 miles walking/training. Some people asked me if I have spine surgery. I said I just wanted to prevent from having a hunchback.

People spend so much effort to prevent from having a hunchback during old age. Your picture just suggests the opposite.

it is said " the map is not the territory"

Do you feel it depicts a real person or is it
a representation of a theory ?

How are your knees doing?

So from this, I can agree that such rules of thoughts as “sink the chest and expand the back” is wrong because one then lock one’s mind on parts on ones own body and risk to be stuck there, such way has absolutely no relevance to martial arts practice.
Agree with you 100% there. If you study a MA system that restrict you from doing proper MA application, it's better not to study that MA system at all.

I stop doing high roundhouse kick in the air. My low leg is turning, but my upper leg is not turning enough. This put pressure on my knee joint. I also replace running by running punch footwork. By using running punch footwork with bending knee and low stance, it's much easier for my knee joint.
