Here is more footage of a protest, this one about cutting wireless service on public transportation in san francisco. The protestors inconvenienced people and made nuisances of themselves and gave some righteous overtime to the cops. The game goes like this, guess which side of the political spectrum these protestors are on. You have two choices, left, and right. The mushy middle isn't a choice because people in the middle aren't really the protestor type. So, make your pick.

sure, when someone wants the state to use its power to impose unconstitutional restricitions on the individual, you can bet that they are not conservatives or on the american right wing. State sponsored racism is one of the things that a conservative fights against. Besides, this game is about the people causing trouble in the video in the first post, not democrats from the 1960's fighting to get the state to discriminate against african americans.

You know damn well that is not true. There is such a mass of scholarship over the centuries of our history detailing the use of state power to enforce discrimination by conservatives of the day.

Another question about the current video...do you think the protesters in the video believe that the rich need to pay their fair share? Do you think they voted for John McCain or Barak Obama?

I ask these questions mainly because of the use of the word terrorist, racist and other names that some are using in describing the tea party, conservatives and republicans. Video after video of violent protests, or just rude behavior, from the U.S. and overseas, shows people rampaging through cities. Yet, the tea party is called dangerous, possibly violent and should be looked at with fear. Yet, the people who are vandalizing verizon, rampaging in greece or on this video stirring things up, are not tea party members, or republicans, or conservatives. So, why does the myth persist that conservatives, and tea party people are the ones to be afraid of when they get into groups to protest. Every time the tea party makes an appearence to protest high taxes, debt and big government, peace is the order of the day. In fact, from various reports, they clean up the garbage before they leave their rally sites.

The article listed above goes a long way in explaining why the photograph of the democrats in the 1950's-60's (?) trying to deny the individual rights guaranteed in the constitution to african americans does not demonstrate "rightism" as it has been practiced through history.

You can't assign a "team" to this ideology. Both "sides" have supported and restricted individual freedom in the past. When you stop identifying with the label "conservative" and begin to understand the underlying principles, you'll find a lot more rationality in your arguments and you won't have to redefine the stupid labels anymore. I read your posts and see you trying to "brand" conservatives as pro-liberty and it just doesn't work. It will never work. At some point in the future, this will click in your mind. Until then, enjoy beating your head against the wall.
