Just looking to see what others feelings and philosophies are. I consider today to have been a good day.

Instructor workout from 7-10 this morning. A lot of good stuff worked on (mental and physical) and a lot of sweat released. I feel I made a good step towards my second degree brown belt.

Followed by 2 hours of teaching my private students, who walk away feeling good after having improved and enjoying themselves.

Followed by our regular Saturday Instructors Demo where I feel I popped out a decent rendition of a Mantis form with little notice and then got hit and kicked in a mass attack demo.

Followed by a 3 hour Belt Board where one of my purple belt students advanced a rank with minimal discussion.

Other days have been good for one reason or another but I feel a lot was accomplished on this one.

A good day is when I wake up and see myself in the mirror, all else is just part of the day.

A good day is when my body actually does what my mind tells it to.
A good day is when I don't injure or pull something.
A good day is when I exceed my own expectations.
A good day is when I train so hard, I can barely walk out of the dojang.

The above are good days because they seem to be so rare.

Terry you crack me up. :D

A good day is any day I would get to train. :)

Welcome to MT jdinca...

For me a good day is:

when I do something that I hadn't thought possible.
when I am so focused that I wonder why the class is over.
when I see someone "get" what I'm trying to teach them.
when I'm physically drained and charged at the same time.
when I can't wait to come back tomorrow.

Ok I'll be serious to me a good day is when my mind and body is whole and a great day is when mind and body is totally complete as you can tell I have had a whole lot of good day and waiting on that great day to arrive.

Thanks, mj! I've already slightly stepped in it once here but that is how we learn after all, isn't it. :)

Today is a good day. I got my 1st gup :D

Other than that, I agree with everyone else. When my body does what my mind wants it to do LOL

Great Job! It wasn't too long ago that you were burned out and considering leaving your style. It says a lot about your character and perseverance that you stuck it out.

On topic: A good day is when I feel that my mind and body were one during practice.

I personnally love it when you see the light bulb go on and that look in there eyes thats says I understand that or that was cool.

Congrats and way to go!

A good for me:

when I can successfully implement something I've been taught.

Yes it is how we learn, and it's a good day if we learn from it! :)

The eyebrows go up, the light goes on and the mouth goes "Ahhh". It is a good feeling to see that happen.

A good day is when I come home from class, sore and bruised and can go "ah. THATS why that did/didnt work" and understand it.
