If we read western media, we're left with the impression that the US is torturing and killing arabs on such a scale as to shock the arab world. However, according to many in Iraq, apparently they are upset, not at what the US is doing, but at what they are not allowing the Iraqi government to do to bring order.

Are we right to limit the Iraqi governments ability to deal with guerillas and terrorists?
It's obvious Washington wants to avoid further allegations of endorsing torture and attrocity, so it's trying to stay away from that line.
At any rate, it's clear that many Iraqis want to deal with insurgents "their way". The result and outcome of that remains to be seen.
