Sword OCD

I have reached new heights (or should that be depth?) of obsessive care of my swords. Moisture is the enemy of steel and it is carried in the air. I already use silica gel moisture absorbent in my sword cases but then I thought, how about about vacuum sealing?šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜ˆ

Suck out as much air as possible. This requires a bit of jiggling of the end of the nozzle within the bag to get to the pockets of airā€¦

I wonder if pre-filling the bag with argon and then sucking it out would be a good idea šŸ¤”

This is too funny. My dad used to vacuum seal EVERYTHING. Put a good coat of oil on your steel and suck all the air out, it works! You might want to look into rifle bags for your swords. You can get them specially designed for vacuum sealing. I have a hard case that holds several pistols and ammo, it has a vacuum port on it. A rifle bag would definitely hold a sword.

Can you really? šŸ˜³ Iā€™ll have a look right now! Thanks for feeding my OCD!
