Last time I was in Korea both at national demo team try outs at the KKW and the KKW demo team tourism at the temple site they would use instep especially for multiple rapid speed in air kicks and we have hosted the Korean Tigers demo team at our NW headquarters for 30 years and also use instep thin board due to age and repetative kicking.
I have nice picture of the temple demo in Seoul but didnt seem to post when I attached to this??

Well I guess my picture did post I was a guest of the GM head of the KKW demo team and in the crowd when they invited people to experinece TKD and break a board and there were some very colorful individuals they grabbed me and said pick so i grabbed the thick boards 1 1/4 thick at least and said head break and the girl in charge freaked and said no no our insurance will not cover I did anyway then they laughed
