Street Fighting vs Battlefield fighting vs Self Defense

With this in mind, this is how I interpret these things.

Street Fighting = "Oh **** joe public is trying to hurt/mame/kill me"
Battlefield Fighting = "Oh **** jihad joe is trying to hurt/mame/kill me"
Self Defense = "Oh **** someone is trying to hurt/mame/kill me"

Fair enough, but streetfighting is when you fight someone cos you dont like him n wanna knock him out. Self defence is fighting cos you have to fight to defend yourself.

Hmmmmmm.......I guess it depends on the point of view. In one case, your first one, you're talking from the attackers point of view. In the second case, you're speaking from the defender's point of view. If you speak from the defenders view only, it is the same thing, A fight to stop them from hurting, maiming, or killing you.
