For a start, I'm one of those who does not deride Mr. Reeve's acting talent. I like the minimalist approach - those who say he is wooden have blunt perceptions in my book. Also, the movie stars Hiroyuki Sanada ... bonus! Lastly, sword and sorcery ... yeah!! Even better, katana and nihon no ryu (Japanese dragons) ... woohoo!

Not really a lot to do with 47 Ronin from what the trailer shows but ... I don't mind :D.

While it might be an interesting movie, I don't like the use of the title from a totally different story. That is an automatic distraction and turn off for me. Granted, it isn't the first time something like that has been done in the movie industry.

It remains to be seen how good it is. I'm afraid to me it looks like a doodaded up B flim.

Sorry.

Snob :p. Movies are not art so B movie goodness is just as valid as vapid blockbuster drivel.

LOL, I think the budget is the only thing separating A from B movies...
Rapsody in Lead was certainly entertaining....and I know too many A-List gigs I would not spend a dime on....

I saw the trailer last night when watching the new movie "The Wolverine". (which was great by the way) This new movie with Keanu Reeves looks great if you are looking for a fun sword and sorcery movie with a Japanese flair. I think it will be great!!!

From the title it really wasn't what i expected, but in a good way, looking forward to this one :)
