Should Jenna ever return she will likely understand when I say I think someone was trying to tell me something with this song as it applies to me at the moment.

I have not heard it in a log time and I have now heard it twice in two days

Ok, so I guess this is what woke me up and brought me in here at 5 am?

God's Holy Spirit doesn't want us to conform to the world, but instead to the likeness of Jesus Christ.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will." ~ Romans 12:2

There is a flood of compromise going on among God's people right now in the world. There is a point when compassion for others becomes a compromise of the truth, and compromise is a small step from deceit. The church is on dangerous ground when it departs from the teaching of Christ. We are called to, "Follow the instructions of the Lord ... do not compromise with evil." - Psalm 119:1,3

God loves you, and He wants to have fellowship with you. My soul waits for the Lord's return, and in His word I place my hope.

Still not quite getting your response there… honestly, I see little to laugh about. Is there a connection between the clip of Tom Petty that Xue posted and the evangelical proselytising post you put up that I'm not seeing? Cause, if not, then it's seriously out of place here.

Ooh baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

When the night falls down
I wait for you and you come around
And the world's alive
With the sound of kids on the street outside

When you walk into the room
You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above
And you lift me up in the wave of love

Ooh baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

When I feel alone
I reach for you and you bring me home
When I'm lost at sea
I hear your voice and it carries me

In this world we're just beginning
To understand the miracle of living
Baby, I was afraid before
But I'm not afraid anymore

Ooh baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

Heaven
Heaven
Heaven.

I'm not a super huge fan of the band Cracker, but sometimes when I get bummed at work, I will play the song "Happy Birthday" and this line reminds me to cheer up:

"I'm feeling thankful for the small things today."

Nope, you're not Jenna and you did not get it at all.

..really? I should be interested to know if this song holds a meaning for you beyond what is is??? Jx

it is not Tea Party .. Jx

Ha, that it is not, ma cherie…

This is:

and yet… reminiscing comes in so many colours…

One of many that I would pick here… but pertinent for the return of one who was missed.

he was always very Jim Morrison (is a good thing!)

haha.. you are winding me up again with this other song lols.. :) (actually no this is interesting song! I am listening and liking it.. so there!! ha call your bluff :D)

well.. from the days before time this will get you even if it is like middle of the morning there?? :)

Ah, Matt Sorum on drums before GnR got hold of him… awesome! And, my lady, I offer no bluff… I could happily put down the entire album (well… maybe not Grapevine… their live versions are the far superior there)… so I will give another to you.

Tbh, as a lusty Essex teenager, she was hot :) Seriously though, a great voice and good music. A bit like the bangles. My easy listening when the rock music was a bit much, no particular meaning.

ha.. well least you are honest about it and not a thing wrong with Essex boys (I used to be accused of being an Essex girl lol)

what are you listening to now (unless you are still a teenager??? jx

in 1965 Stop. In The Name Of Love sung by the Supremes was actually playing the first time I saw my future wife.
"Eve of Destruction" was also from that year and I had just got my first notice that Uncle Sam wanted me

Well a teenager in mentality lol. These days mainly trance and old skool American house as my faves. But really anything instrument or synth based that I like. At the moment a bit of Christina Novelli. Heard of though the acoustic version of Concrete Angel.

Brain storming, habit forming, battle warning, weary with some actor's spearing spineless, chilling lines.
The critics falling over her to tell themselves, "He is boring, and really not an awful lot of... Fun!
And who the hell can he be, when he has never had tea, and doesn't even sit on toilet seats?"
Court jesting, never resting, he must be very cunning to assume that err of dignity, but bless us
all with a solitary promise. His lame brain antics, and his jumping in the air. But, every night he
is actually sane, and so it must be all a game of chess he's playing. But, you see, you are wrong,
Steve, it is only solitaire.

Would have thought that was Megadeth. > Sorry it is not widescreen, I know there is a way that it can be en masse, but cant remember right now. Anyway another fave of mine. It was not released as a single, but this is "Belly of the Beast" by Anthrax. One of my metal faves, although some would say this early death metal, whatever still head tempo.

Who is evil, who is blind?
In the name of who you'll find,
A city of souls dying for peace
Welcome to the belly of the beast
One mind, one voice
Welcome to the belly of the beast
Who hears, your voice?

Millions, never, never again
Madness, never, never again
Martyrs, dead that can't die
Monsters

Insanity, the normal state
The left hand a hammer, the right the stake
Driven so deep into the heart
It's killing love, it's killing faith
It's killing 'cause it's from the heart
What better way to demoralize
When your own children are your spies
The things you trust are not the same
Trust in grief, trust in death
Trust in hope is trust in pain

Who is evil, who is blind?
In the name of who you'll find,
You're not supposed to question faith
But how do you accept this fate?

Millions, you walk this earth without a heart
Madness, tear the innocent's souls apart
Martyrs, shovel your conscience into the grave
Monsters
