Sci-Fi Geeks will LOVE this!

For EH and the edification of all readers, "The Cake is A Lie" was the phrase that grew as a response to an unpleasant spate of 'spam' in the ancient days when the Net was still a-birthing. Messages would arrive in peoples in-boxes, phrased in various ways but all along the lines of that if the recipient were to open a link there would be 'cake', the inference being some rather 'tasty' imagery of unclad ladies. This spoof would open a massive image, taking an age to download in these low bandwidth days, of a hugely obese woman in a bath or some-such non-aesthetic thing.
And it was used in the original Portal game.

My son loved the first Portal game so much he asked for a replica cake for his birthday.
