As to Steve's question as to whether there is anything in my region of the country that might be of interest, I have to say, with sadness, not really these days. With the collapse of the Potteries and the resultant post-industrial wasteland, the local city (Stoke-on-Trent) has little to recommend it for tourists. A couple of okay museums and that's about it. We have some nice countryside, mind you, tho' nothing written on the spectacular scale that you fellows have in the States .
