Smiths reference. Nice.Apparently, there is a light that never goes out
I don’t know if anyone else here likes vinyl, but record store day is a pretty fun event in my family. Bringing it up because this year, Johnny Marr, Look Out Live! LP is available. That’s definitely on my list this year.Apparently, there is a light that never goes out
Vinyl sounds really good, but so does lossless digital music. But there are a couple of things about vinyl I really like. The artist gets paid, particularly if you purchase from the artist directly or through something like Bandcamp. So purchasing the vinyl supports the artist, not apple or Spotify execs.A man with no vinyl is a man with no soul.
Thing is though, if you buy vinyl you get this bloody great thing to go home with and you know you have bought a record. You also get cool sleeve art.Vinyl sounds really good, but so does lossless digital music. But there are a couple of things about vinyl I really like. Second is that there’s something about listening to an entire album, in order, without skipping songs. Vinyl encourages that and it definitely changes the way you appreciate the music.
Edit to add that I also like owning physical media and vinyl is just cool.
Exactly. And anything you buy on Bandcamp includes a lossless, digital version that you also own. A lot of indie vinyl includes a digital code, too.Thing is though, if you buy vinyl you get this bloody great thing to go home with and you know you have bought a record. You also get cool sleeve art.

Cool!I just finished listening to this song on repeat and it hits hard.
The chorus is filled with so much apathetic angst. Very Morrissey.
If you like The Smiths, check out some of The Cure's tracks they composed for the movie The Crow.
