It hurts me more at 47 than it did at 30, but I can still take a full class of falls. At 30, I often did multiple classes in a day. I was nuts.I don't believe you. I still remember how much it hurt back when I was 15.....

Meeting with the lawyer went well. I let him hear a recording I made on my cell phone of a confrontation that happened with my ex-wife's boyfriend in a counselor waiting room. (The appointment was for my son.) Once he heard Boyfriend saying I should shut my mouth or he was going to crack my head open in a heartbeat, my lawyer started scribbling notes furiously.

Over slept today, only able to do the WCCC taiji this morning..... ok...it was not so much over sleep as it was when I reached for the snooze I hit the off button by mistake..... 45 minutes later...I woke up.....

Is it legal in ny to record a conversation without their consent? Isn't here.
New York is a one party consent state so only one party has to be aware of the recording

Yes, which of course I was since the recording was on my cell phone. Haha! GOT 'IM!
Now the judge can finally see the main reason my ex and I struggle to co-parent our son is because she makes it difficult, by handing the control over to this thug because she thinks he will intimidate me into caving.
I say the "main reason" instead of "only reason" because I am not innocent in all of this. Sometimes I respond emotionally and escalate things, but I am trying to change my ways. She's not trying a damn thing.

Anyway, enough airing of dirty laundry. Going to check out the Muay Thai class tonight!
As I recall, states are roughly split between one-party and two-party consent laws.
I've often thought it would be fun to teach in the same facility as some other arts. But every time I think about that, I remember I need to actually go home from time to time.

If my theory about Muay Thai is right, then I would love to open a school in partnership with a Muay Thai instructor and a Judo instructor...offer all 3...with each of us able to train in the other's style, and who knows? Maybe mash them together and offer a FOURTH one.
I realize there are a lot of obstacles to realizing that dream, but hey...that's all right. I can make it a reality in my head. LOL

Yeah, I've been doing well with not missing regular classes (the kids train on the other side of the building at the same time) but I have not been able to make it to open mat (starts after kids' class is over so we have to head home or Sat morning)

Two poetry books, a short story, and my martial arts book are all on my Amazon author page. There is another poetry book scheduled to be published in October, and another short in a couple weeks!
