Look, you need helpā€¦long, protracted expensive therapy!
Zookeeping, exotic animal surgery, veterinary medicine, etc. my good friend was working on a venom toxicology PhD. Venom toxicology requires venom collection, and some fool to collect it.

Not into weapons myself, many of the same concepts used,
carryover to H2H as most know..

The issue is you have a lot of bad options.

I have stated here before I kind of like the idea of going for them and hoping momentum Carries me through.

It's not great. But there is a smallish chance that they will be focused on my attack and think less about the knife.

I don't think you can catch a wrist out of thin air if it is part of a committed attack. Bit I would obviously try to put something in the way, regardless.

If I did catch an arm. Then an arm drag or two on one is probably the safest way to keep that arm..

I am a much bigger fan of fighting in a way that does not allow the other guy access to their hips. Just in general. Just as a precaution. Under hooks, hand fighting, dagastani handcuff.

Otherwise knife drills are a bit flawed. Because if you go full speed the priorities change.

Either they are going flat knacker. And you are trying to stop them without really hitting them.

Or you are really hitting them and the knife is doing less damage.

I have taken knives off people though.

My best guess would be you engage in a bunch of task based games essentially where as you move from dynamic to dynamic the priorities change and you would need a bunch of different delivery systems to accommodate that.

Also there are dynamics that you want to avoid like lava. Rather than look for solutions to fight from.

Which people don't seem to do.

Side note. I do like the idea of underhook with bicept control.

Underhook the opposite side of the knife attack. Block the bicept of the knife arm. Reach around behind their back with the underhook and grab the inside of their elbow.

Theyā€™re all invented, but Iā€™d love to hear about your new one. In 800-1000 years it might be mainstream!

It's something I've abandoned in favour of a more mainstream approach, but my gods loved blasphemy. To them it was a form of prayer. There was the elephant god of absolute strength, the monkey god of relative strength, the god of corruption, the god of doing pointless, elaborate and icky things with dead bodies...

Y'see the idea behind the god of corruption was that the god of corruption doesn't care how good or bad you were, he just agreed to look the other way in exchange for a consideration. It's a very inclusive means of worship...

Hey! Weā€™re not allowed to talk about politicians!
