So recently I just received my 3rd Dan in Tang Soo Do and First Dan in an American system so I am getting a new black belt and going to get both styles on the belt. A friend of mine told me about http://www.kataaro.com/. His belt was very nice. I am spending little over a 100. But from what i seen it is worth it was wondering if anyone has order from there if so was it worth the money. Plus I dont have to wear 2 belts LoL, and put the belts my masters gave me in a shadow box.

Wow!!! I just checked the site to see how much for a plain BJJ black belt... $55 for a belt??? I'm trying to figure out why so expensive for a plain belt.

Will your instructors allow you to wear rank from a different system on your belt when you study and wear their uniform?

That's not really expensive. Shureido and Tokaido will cost a similar amount for their thick and wide belts.

tshadowchaser: Yes they will allow me to wear the belt with both systems both of the masters are very close.

Next So I got the belt yesterday AND LOVE IT. I would advise people who want a super nice belt to order from there PLUS it is made in the USA. the belt is super thick and firm kinda like a seat belt.

I'm a big fan of eosinpanther.com

They are a bit more expensive than many, but the quality is top notch.

I think for that kind of money I myself would be looking at Shuriedo's belts.

55 bucks for a belt isn't too bad at all. Even if someone were to get a plain, high quality black belt from Tokaido or Shureido, he'd probably be spending about 45 bucks.

Another thing is when you buy a belt at that stage of your training, it may be the last belt that you buy and the one you wear for the next 30+ years. Spending $55 on a belt that you will wear for the next 2-4 decades is reasonable.
