CHENNAI, June 21 (Bernama) -- Clients who demand sexual fantasies bordering on the inhumane, risk getting a karate kick from sex workers.

To ward off such violent clients, sex workers in this southern city have begun to learn the martial art to protect themselves.

"Just 20 days after learning karate, I was abused by a group of tourists who wanted to have sex with me and my friend.

"Initially, the broker (pimp) said only two males. When we refused, the broker assaulted my friend but we fought back, using our (martial art) skills.
