This Saturday, March 14, an Aikido school in Portsmouth, NH is having a Japanese Martial Arts and Culture festival, what they hope is their first of many.
Unfortunately I found out about this event after making plans for the day, so I won't be able to attend myself. However, I'm posting it here in case it is of interest to fellow New Englanders.....and also because I thought the format of the event was really neat.
Every now and then there are folks that post about ways to attract new students, I thought this festival was a great way to reach out to the community -- I particularly like how they divided the kids events and the adults events as a way to reach a variety of people.
