I either practice in my kitchen or down in the basement. Most of the techniques don't require a ton of room to execute. Pinans can be a little more challenging though.

Used to be the back yard. But now I own the dojo so I just go there to train. I spend a lot of time there because my kids really like to hit the bags and my youngest loves to do kettle bell workouts. But neither one of them want to do formal classes, go figure.

That would be awesome, but at least in Europe (and in cities) space is often at a premium.. karate doesn't make you rich

I used to have training equipment indoors, but things got torn up. Carpet...tiles...
Any type of impact equipment mounted/hung to the walls or ceiling caused problems.

The plan is, ultimately, to get the boat fixed up and moored somewhere then I can clad the outside with timber, install lighting, and make it into a proper dungeon

That is kind of my plan. I had a 1950 street rod setting in garage that hadn't been moved in 20+ years. Hope springs eternal. But, my wife convinced me to get rid of it. So now I am converting the space into a practice facility. See pictures at post #15.

My man, the same. However, mine is a detached garage without heat so several space heaters going up here in the northeast u.s.
