So....what do you guys think about the fact that a a lot of amateur boxing no longer wears headgear?

Only men, the international amateur boxing association has said women still have to wear headguards.

So....what do you guys think about the fact that a a lot of amateur boxing no longer wears headgear?

Headgear doesn't really have any significant impact (see what I did there?) on brain injuries. Headgear cuts down on cuts and soft tissue injuries.
Personally, I wear headgear and I encourage it's use. I don't need to be comparing cuts with the patients, and I'm ugly enough already without adding more scars.
